Trekking in Ladakh
To learn more about the culture and lifestyle of the ladakhi people, the association proposes treks to discover the villages of the region of Photoksar.

Proposal of treks
The organization of treks is handled by members of the association
who live in Ladakh. 10 euros per day and per person will be donated
directly to developing projects. The itinerary of the treks takes
you
through villages who benefit from the association. Such trek will
allow you to:
-
meet with the villagers, visit the families and the school
-
learn more about the Buddhist religion through visits in monasteries along the way
-
discover breathtaking sceneries and observe wild animals and plants of the region

Our treks take place in the region of Photoksar,
currently supported by Gamyul Phanday Tsogspa.
Photoksar is at 6 hours of road from Leh, plus a 6 hour hike to
reach the village at 4300 meter (14100 feet) high. Its 400
inhabitants live from stock farming. That region offers various
options of treks who
can last from 7 to 20 days, with passes which range from 4000 to
5300 meters (13100 to 17400 feet) high, and numerous villages and
monasteries to visit along the way.
Planning treks.
Our treks take place all year long except during the Winter. You
choose one of our itineraries and the dates will be organized to
suite your needs. All the necessary information will be communicated
to you
before your arrival in Ladakh.
